5 Easy Ways to Get Your Bar Packed on Saint Patrick’s Day

As we all know St. Patrick’s day is a pretty popular bar holiday. To ensure your bar will be everyone’s first choice, here are some simple ways to get ready for St. Patrick’s day.
1. Prepare the atmosphere. You’re going to want to make room for all of those new customers, so take out some chairs and tables so there’s more room for dancing all night to some Irish music! Also, put some festive green decorations up on the wall like leprechauns and four leaf clovers.
2. Get ready for a crowd. You might want to consider hiring a few seasonal staff members and increasing security so everyone can have a great and safe time. Bars can get pretty crowded on Saint Patrick’s day, so it’s best to be prepared.
3. Game time. One of the best bar games to play on St. Patrick’s day is the leprechaun coin hunt. Hide some plastic gold coins around the bar and when a customer finds one, give them a prize such as free wings, a free shot, or a free beer. You could also just drop a few drops of green food coloring into beer and let them play some good old fashioned beer pong.
4. Have a social media contest. Do a contest for patrons to post a picture of themselves at your bar on a social media website with a hashtag of your bars name. Give away a prize to a randomly selected winner such as a $25 gift card to your bar or you can do something more extravagant like an iPad.
5. Have a signature St. Patrick’s day drink. Get everyone in the holiday spirit with a special drink. Here’s a recipe we love:
Shamrock Shake Shot
1 1/2 oz. Midori Melon Liqueur
1/2 oz. Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey
1/2 oz. Carolans Irish Cream liqueur
Shake well and top with some whipped cream.

  1. As an Irish person I approve of this guide! 🙂 Also, adding a shamrock to the foam of Guinness is always a good thing to have on paddys day! 🙂
