6 Ways To Expand Your Client Email List

It’s very important for your business to create a serviceable email list because when used effectively to transmit your message, the emails will eventually draw customers to your place of business. Here are six (6) of the best tips to expand your email list quickly.

Contest: Host a contest or a giveaway and tell your customers you will be announcing the winner via email. After you announce the winner you can continue sending them promotions and coupons. Though this tip requires giving away something for free, it’s still a small price to pay for adding more potential clients to your list.

Member-Only: Offer member-only coupons and promotions. Include benefits for subscribing to your email list. If you make sure there is a distinct advantage between member and non-member customers, more people will want to be part of this exclusive group and receive special offers that non-members don’t receive.

Use Social Media: Most businesses have some sort of online presence, so why not take advantage of that with social media! Add an email subscription link on your website and then proceed to use Twitter and Facebook to reach other potential customers with your message. You can use whatever social media site you’re on to promote your business, so definitely take advantage of that so your customers don’t miss out.

Employee Signatures: When and if your employees send business emails, make sure there is a link at the bottom of their signature to opt-in to your emails. This gives every single potential client you email the opportunity to keep an eye on your offers and promotions, which can lead to more business.

Traditional Methods: You don’t have to limit yourself to internet advertising, you can also bring it up in in-person interactions. If you happen to go to a business convention make sure to ask for everyone’s card (as most business cards have emails on them) and add them on the list. Also, you can put a sign on your door advertising that you do have an email subscription. Finally, don’t forget to advertise it on any receipt you give your existing customers, as they’ll probably want to come back for more.
